Artistic Direction

We are four lovers of sound and peace. We plan every festival together, from the theme to the parterre. The festival was conceived by Diana Lorena Camerini*; Simona Schiano di Coscia* takes care of the content and communications; the musical section is harmonised by Filippo Furlan; Franca Grimaldi mainly studies ways of using the body and voice.

Small Programmatic Manifesto

Like all human beings we have our opinions, also political – in the etymological sense of active participation in the life of the city – but as organisers of the festival we are not aligned with any political party. The aim of peace is not the prerogative of some and cannot and must not be the object of exploitation by anyone. We admire all religious beliefs and all ideas, if based on respect for fundamental human rights. We choose the participants of msp on the basis of our own personal sensitivity and love of art and life, regardless of race, sex, religion or political belief. The only obligatory requirement of our guests, which we want to guarantee to the msp audience, is on one hand the absolute sincerity and intellectual and creative honesty with which the artists and speakers put themselves in touch with the world, on the other their belief in peace as a realistic objective, rejecting any warmongering attitudes or disrespect for life and human dignity.

Marvellous Sound Project Onlus
MSP Onlus is a non profit association set up in 2007 to give form to the precise need to bring together human, intellectual and creative resources in order to make people aware of the potential sound has in the formation of a mentality of real peace. Peace is in fact a habit of sound and thought that must be worn and displayed in everyday life.

The five per thousand for msp

Msp Onlus has obtained recognition as a non profit association to which the five per thousand may be directed. Sending the five per thousand to msp means supporting an ambitious project for the protection, appreciation and promotion of forms of art and understanding related to the many possibilities with which sound is expressed and the many ways of thinking and reflecting that lead the human being to conceive of peace between all inhabitants of the earth as genuinely possible. Bequests, philanthropic donations and commercial sponsorship in cash are managed by the non-profit association solely to organise the festival, with no payment of benefits to associates, in accordance with law.
